Queensland Science Network

Queensland Science Network

The Queensland Science Network is a loose unincorporated collaboration between more than 20 knowledge-based not-for-profit societies based in Queensland, Australia.

‘Scientific organisations’ means societies that collect or disseminate scientific knowledge as one of their major functions.

The network has a Facebook page suitable for advertising events. The domain www.scienceqld.org.au is a registered address of the Society, complementing the Queensland Government’s science site.

A new site for the Network is currently under construction and is expected to be launched in November 2017. Development has been supported by a generous donation from a member of the Royal Society of Queensland.

Taxonomy is a neglected field of science, even though it is an essential building block to many disciplines and critical to understanding the functioning of natural systems – even to accessing the relevant literature. See more on separate page.
